The first WWf(a) school was
founded in 1991 in Cincinnati
by Mary Pierce-Brosmer. In 2002, she created the Feminist Leadership Academy of Cincinnati as a training ground for women interested in facilitating classes in the WWf(a)C tradition.

Since the Feminist Leadership
Academy opened its doors, "sister" schools have opened in eight new locations, including Louisville.
